Job Summary:
 The Early Childhood Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the curriculum for children in early childhood education programs. This position requires working closely with teachers to ensure that they are delivering quality instruction and creating a positive learning environment. The coordinator is responsible for assessing the progress of children and teachers, and providing feedback and support as needed. In addition, the coordinator is responsible for coordinating special events, creating lesson plans, and developing the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive early childhood education curriculum that meets the needs of children and aligns with state standards and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure that the curriculum is being delivered effectively and that children are making progress.

  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities for teachers to improve their instructional practices and classroom management.

  • Assess the progress of children through observation and testing, and develop individualized plans to support their learning and development.

  • Develop and coordinate special events such as parent-teacher conferences, parent workshops, and community events.

  • Create lesson plans and provide guidance to teachers on how to effectively implement them in the classroom.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and instructional practices, and make necessary changes to improve outcomes.

  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school psychologists, to provide support for children with special needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching or coordinating early childhood education programs.

  • Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education best practices, and state guidelines and standards.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications related to curriculum development and assessment.

  • Familiarity with different types of early childhood education programs, such as CLASS assessments, TS Gold, ASQ assessmemts, Frog Street Curriculum.

The Early Childhood Curriculum Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that young children receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in school and beyond. This position requires a deep understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices, as well as strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
